A walk

A walk, a walk, another walk…
Taking turns between a park, the supermarket or around the block.
Taking in the beauty, the silence, the fresh air
Walking the dog, running or cycling, for those who dare.
Never before have the birds sang so pretty, so loud
Hiding behind the trees or in your garden, away from the crowd.
Topping up the steps and trying to keep your mind clear
Your thoughts flying away, becoming lighter, letting go of the fear.
Discovering new places, even though they have been there a while
Close your eyes, take a deep breath, you are an explorer, smile!
The river so quiet, so fast, so pretty and just down the road
With amazing wildlife and views and sunsets the colour of gold.
Nature is our salvation, let’s make sure we look after it,
Recycle, cherish, don’t take it for granted, love it’s each and every bit!
